Meridian launches new auto-injector product

Meridian Medical Technologies Inc. of Columbia, MD, recently announced the release of a new product TruJect, the company’s auto-injector drug delivery platform that enables pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies to provide easy and reliable patient self-administration.

TruJect is a pen-like, pre-activated, pre-filled auto-injector that allows patients to self administer doses of injectable drugs with the touch of a button, and without seeing the needle before or after injection. The product allows for subcutaneous or intramuscular delivery, an automatic needle cover system to protect against needle sticks and a "low-residual" delivery technology that enhances dosing accuracy.
