Company History
Clinician.com has a long history of promoting professional development through award-winning healthcare and clinically relevant content in fields such as emergency medicine, clinical medicine, and hospital management.
Clinician.com has had a number of brand names throughout its history. The brand started its life as AHC Media in 1974, being a leading source of medical publishing, content, education & training, and media. The brand primarily produced & distributed physical publications until its migration to digital publications.
AHC Media was acquired by Relias in September of 2016, becoming the Relias Media product. Product offerings remained consistent with what was offered through AHC Media, but with a further emphasis on digital publications for medical professionals.
On June 25, 2025, Relias Media officially re-branded as Clinician.com to better represent its user base of physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and other prescribers. This name change did not result in any updates in product or service offerings.

Editorial Process
Clinician.com’s editorial process begins with editors sourcing copy from external subject matter experts (SMEs). Our SMEs are medical writers, doctors, and nurses with in-depth knowledge about the topics they write about.
Once the copy is obtained, in-house editors guide it through the peer review process, getting signoffs and notes from reviewers and our newsletters’ physician editors and passing them onto the authors for them to work on final drafts.
After editors obtain final drafts, they edit the articles, lay them out on pages, get signoffs from other in-house editors and final approval from physician editors. Once final approvals are in place, editors put the articles up on the Clinician.com website, set up CE/CME exams, and send email blasts out to subscribers.
