Becton Dickinson's FirstPICC earns design award

Sandy, UT-based Becton Dickinson's FirstPICC recently was awarded the 1998 Silver Industrial Design Excellence Award (IDEA) for its sleek oval shape and ease of use. Also cited were its smooth surface and soft silicon tubing, allowing long-term infusion therapy for periods of up to three years.

Other award winners included noted national manufacturers Sony, Motorola, and Black & Decker.
