Johnson & Johnson introduces safety catheter
Johnson & Johnson Medical of New York City was recently granted marketing clearance by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration for its PROTECTIV ACUVANCE IV Safety Catheter.
The PROTECTIV ACUVANCE Catheter uses an internal needle blunting system to provide workers with a level of safety to prevent needlestick injuries. Johnson & Johnson reports that the catheters will be priced competitively with other safety catheters currently on the market.n
