Purchasing agreement includes IV solutions

Premier, the nations largest alliance of hospital and health systems, recently entered into a corporate partnership with Baxter Healthcare Corporation and Allegiance Healthcare Corporation. The seven-year agreement includes group purchasing agreements of numerous products, such as intravenous solutions and drug delivery systems.

With prospective sales volume of approximately $1 billion a year, the group-purchasing award is the largest in history. It is scheduled to begin Feb. 1, 1997.
