Help for home care, hospice
The American Health Information Management Association has published a book that concentrates on the role of information management in the home care and hospice settings.
The book, Documentation and Information Management in Home Care and Hospice Programs, was written by Susan C. Miller, MBA, RRA. It includes methods for establishing information management systems, documenting patient records, and maintaining confidentiality in home care and hospice settings.
There are special sections on Medicare requirements and standards from the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations for managing home and hospice health information. Included are sample forms, critical guidelines, and a list of references.
