• Web of Care.com (New York) has created a new Web site, www.webofcare.com, that offers information, animated skill demonstrations, support groups, and supplies designed to meet the needs of non-paid, informal home caregivers.

• HCMC (Jacksonville, FL) has a new type of software, PPS Rate Manager, that integrates both clinical and financial operations. The software, HCMC said, calculates each of an agency’s perspective payment system (PPS) rates and gives three patient-specific options for a profit-driven, outcome-based clinical pathway. PPS Rate Manager tracks agencies’ PPS profit by patient and compares it to the PPS amount actually received and to agencies’ cost per episode. To order the software, call (904) 725-7100.
