Promise Spread sponsors traveling health fairs

Englewood Cliffs, NJ-based Lipton, producer of Promise Spread, has launched a nationwide traveling health fair campaign called Promise2000. The first event, which took place in New York City in February, targeted stressed-out office workers, firefighters, lawyers, police officers, and health professionals.

The event included a session on exercises that can be performed at your desk as well as wellness stations where experts provide wellness advice, back massages, and blood pressure checks; answer nutrition questions; and explain results of blood pressure checks.

Several more events are scheduled this year in other major cities. The program also includes distribution of a Personal Wellness Guide, designed to help individuals achieve the major goals of "Healthy People 2000," a nationwide health promotion campaign initiated by the U.S. Public Health Service.

"This is a step-by-step guide to help you plan a wellness routine to achieve your personal health goals," explains Stephen Schultz, brand manager for Promise Spread. "It covers nutrition, physical activity, and overall wellness."
