ACOG to educate public about assault
Educating the public - especially students, teachers, and policy-makers - on preventing rape and sexual assault is the focus of a new program from the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG) in Washington, DC. ACOG is seeking information on effective rape prevention programs in a first step toward developing educational material and programs that help prevent rape.
ACOG is specifically looking for information on programs that increase the awareness of risky situations and teach skills on how to avoid them. An advisory board comprised of ACOG members, educators, rape counselors, and crisis center representatives will review the programs in designing new models and materials.
