AOA revamps eye care Web site
The St. Louis-based American Optometric Association (AOA) has opened its newly redesigned site on the World Wide Web to provide up-to-date information and news about eye care and vision.
The site, located at http://www.aoanet.org, covers a wide range of topics, including "Common Vision Conditions," "Eye Diseases," "Contact Lenses," and "Sports & Vision." "Meet the AOA" introduces the Web surfer to the 32,000-member association. "We answer a lot of common questions about eye and vision problems and offer tips on getting the most from your vision," notes James W. Hartzell, O.D., of Des Moines, IA, chairman of the AOA Communications Center Executive Committee.
