Warning Signs of Exercise Addiction
While you can't always spot an exercise addict, knowledgeable wellness professionals interviewed by EHF noted several signs and symptoms that may indicate an employee is getting into trouble. They include the following:
o Chronic fatigue
o Excessive sickness
o Forgetfulness
o Disorientation
o Workouts more than once a day
o A strained appearance
o Limping
o Employees who exercise when they should be spending time with their families or on the job
o Insomnia
o Marked weight loss
o Soreness
o Overuse or stress-related injury
o Stress fractures
o Muscle damage
o Dehydration
o Weakness
o Ignoring pain, trying to 'work through it'
