<p>In a large study of methamphetamine users, female sex was associated with presence of pulmonary hypertension, whereas male sex, hypertension, and alcoholism were associated with cardiomyopathy. Both pulmonary hypertension and cardiomyopathy patients exhibited substantially increased mortality.</p>
