The Center to Advance Palliative Care (CAPC) of New York City will host a national conference on hospital-based palliative care programs. The conference, titled "Planning a Hospital-Based Palliative Care Program," will be held Feb. 21-23 at the Tampa Marriott Waterside in Tampa, FL.
The conference is expected to attract 200 health care managers, physicians, nurses, and others who plan hospital- or health-system-based programs. Faculty and guest speakers include experts from the palliative care field.
The conference will be presented in collaboration with the Florida Hospital Association, Florida Hospices and Palliative Care, Inc., and the Florida Partnership for End of Life Care. Sessions will explore palliative care issues such as leadership, selecting an organizational model, creating a business and financial plan, and fostering hospital-hospice collaborations.
