• George Anderson, executive vice president of healthcare software developer Oceania (Redwood City, CA), has been elected president of the American College of Preventive Medicine (Washington), a 2,000-member group of physicians. Oceania designs healthcare software used to analyze patient care information. Before joining Oceania, Anderson was president and CEO of The Koop Foundation, and before that was a Major General in the U.S. Air Force.
• John Geoghegan has been named chief executive officer for CareGuide.com (San Francisco), an Internet information resource for child care and elder care services. Geoghegan was most recently general manager of the J. Walter Thompson advertising agency in San Francisco.
• William Nye has been named senior regional imaging consultant, Midwest and Canada region, for ADAC HealthCare Information Systems), a division of ADAC Laboratories (Milpitas, California). Nye was previously a project engineer with the IS/PACS Systems Integration Group.
