Baseline production of PSMa subtypes was examined in 50 PVL-positive methicillin-susceptible Staphylococcus aureus (MSSA) and MRSA clinical isolates using liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry (LC-MS-MS), and these results were compared to a control strain, LAC (USA300).
