CMSA announces case manager of the year

At its 15th Annual Conference in Orlando, FL, the Case Management Society of America (CMSA) presented its National Case Manager of the Year Award to Peter Moran, RN,C, BSN, MS, CCM, a staff nurse in the emergency department (ED) at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston.

According to a CMSA statement, Moran "has utilized his prior work and life experiences in assisting patients released from the ED to secure the services they need for a safe outcome — specifically targeting populations such as the frail elderly, the homeless, and the uninsured."

Moran is the 23rd recipient of the award.
