Web site targets OB/GYNs, women

With more than 1.5 million e-mail exchanges in a month, OBGYN.net, a comprehensive source for women’s health on-line, has become an important communications tool among obstetricians, gynecologists, and women on the Internet. OBGYN.net is the home of Ob-Gyn-L, the largest discussion forum for obstetricians and gynecologists. From the urging of such doctors, OBGYN.net created a women’s discussion forum a place where women can find advice for their health-related problems from qualified physicians.

OBGYN.net is a service of Elecomm Corp., an Austin, TX-based Internet development firm. A team of more than 60 physicians represent OBGYN.net as advisory board members, country representatives, U.S. representatives, and OB/GYN subspecialty experts. Women’s health providers can use the site to access the latest information, product suppliers, and fellow practitioners. It was launched in September 1996.
