VNA institute offers staffing program
VNA HealthCare, based in Hartford, CT, recently announced the development of a new staffing program for nurses. This program caters to nurses who want to learn more about different care environments.
Registered nurses are provided with information and training on a variety of care settings, including home care, hospitals, and skilled nursing facilities. The program is geared to nurses who may have been downsized and need to learn new skills to enter another health care setting.
The training program is free, and VNA places trained nurses in temporary positions. Although the program is limited to Hartford and the surrounding area, it is expected to be available across Connecticut by the end of 1998.
