* National Information Center on Deafness (NICD), Washington, DC.

* National Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf, Silver Spring, MD.

* Self Help for Hard of Hearing People (SHHH), Bethesda, MD.
This group created a "hospital program" that is also applicable to ambulatory surgery centers and includes a staff education training video on communicating with the deaf and a booklet on how to comply with the ADA.
