Foundation publishes research agenda

The Rehabilitation Nursing Foundation (RNF) has published its first research agenda to promote research to improve the rehabilitation process.

The RNF awards annual research grants through its Research Fellows and New Investigators Award program.

The new agenda addresses five areas: health care promotion, primary and secondary prevention to facilitate management of self-care and independence; interventions and symptom management to maximize function; community context of care for people at risk or with a chronic illness or disability; rehabilitation nurse-sensitive outcome and costs in the continuum of care; and rehab practice and role in the changing healthcare system.
