Web site helps patients comply with HIV regimens
London-based NAM publications has launched a Web site (www.aidsmap.com) that gives HIV-infected people updated information about HIV drugs, side effects of drugs, treatment, and HIV transmission.
The site includes a feature called "The Wheel — Your Personal Pill Planner," which builds a personalized 24-hour clock showing HIV-positive people how treatment will fit into their lives. Based on a series of questions about the user’s drug regimen and lifestyle, the site gives the user a personalized pill planner and lists issues about adhering to the timetable that they should discuss with their health care providers.
