Every once in a while it’s good for agencies to stop and take notice of where the home health care industry is headed as well as a look at where it has been.

If the trends prevail, not only will home health agencies and providers see a growing demand for their services but will see an increasing number of Medicare beneficiaries utilizing them. This, if nothing else, is reason enough to continue the industry’s lobbying efforts to see that home health agencies — whether hospital-affiliated or independently owned — are properly reimbursed under Medicare.
