$18.7 Million Covers Past and Future Medical Care, Other Costs
When the judge struck the defendant hospital’s answer in the Desoto case, he instructed plaintiff’s attorney Cornelius Bahan, JD, to draw up an order listing how much money he thought his clients were entitled to from the hospital. Bahan gladly did so, and the judge signed the order. This is how the $18.7 million order breaks down:

o Future medical care $14,602,071
o Pain and suffering $250,000
o Past lost earnings, benefits $160,581
o Future lost earnings, benefits $1,865,643
o Husband’s loss of consortium $250,000
o Attorneys’ costs $31,534.15
