ZEVEX granted four new patents
ZEVEX International of Salt Lake City, was recently granted four patents associated with its EnteraLite Ambulatory Enteral Feeding Pump. The first patent involves the apparatus and method for monitoring viscosity and occlusions in an enteral feeding pump set. Two patents relate to the pinch clip occluder for infusion sets, which prevent patients from over-infusion. The final patent is on the variable position clamp, which allows the pump to be attached to a number of apparatuses, such as an IV pole, bed rail, infant stroller, or wheel chair.
