American Health Consultants regrets that a mistake was made in Neurology Alert 2000;18:47. G.H. Whipple was an instructor in pathology at Johns Hopkins, not a surgeon. Furthermore, he later became the distinguished founding dean and Chairman of Pathology at the University of Rochester Medical School and a giant in medical research.
