• WellMed (Portland, OR) announced last week a strategic partnership with WellPoint Health Networks (Thousand Oaks, CA). Under the partnership, WellPoint’s California subsidiary, Blue Cross of California, will provide WellMed’s on-line health risk profiles to its Check Up Center members through its Web site, which is www.bluecrossca.com. The Check Up Center Program primarily provides preventative care services to individual, family, and small group members in the PPO plan, said WellMed.
