Calendar helps you plan wellness events
If you like to plan your special wellness events around national days of health observance, you now can chart a year’s worth of events in 1997 with the help of a new calendar from the Chicago-based American Hospital Association’s Society for Healthcare Strategy and Market Development.
The calendar contains more than 250 health-related observances of national significance, says Sidney Cristol, the society’s associate director.
"The listing covers all areas of human life, from National Employee Health & Fitness Day to National Running & Fitness Week, from National School Lunch Week to National Pediculosis day," she says. "For each entry, we provide not only the date but a description of the observance, available materials, and contact information, including name and address."
The 1997 Health Observances & Recognition Days calendar is available at $15 per copy for society members and $20 for nonmembers. To order a copy, call (800) AHA-2626 and request item #C-166857.
