Expect JCAHO home care performance measures this year

The Joint Commission has released the National Library of Healthcare Indicators: Health Plan and Network Edition (NLHI), a compendium of 225 performance measures for health plans and networks.

The next edition of NLHI set for release by year-end 1997 will include measures for home care and long-term care settings, says JCAHO. The current edition of NLHI is divided into four broad categories: 123 clinical performance measures; 75 administrative/financial measures; 20 health status measures; and seven satisfaction measures.
