Popular OSHA CD-ROM now cheaper
Occupational health providers now can spend less and get more from the CD-ROM that is a popular way to access documents from the federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) in Washington, DC.
The CD-ROM now costs $38 instead of the previous $77 for a series of four discs sent over a one-year period, and it includes more features than the previous versions. Titled "OSHA Regulations, Documents, and Technical Information on CD-ROM," the OSHA disc is the government’s best-selling subscription CD-ROM. OSHA sends out 14,000 discs per quarter.
The disc includes all OSHA standards, the Occupational Safety and Health Act, Federal Register notices, OSHA compliance advisor software, and many other features. The 1997 version now includes the OSHA poster and allows easier printing of all the documents.
The OSHA CD-ROM works on Windows, DOS, and Macintosh computer systems. It can be installed on computer networks, as well. To order the four-disc subscription, contact the Government Printing Office at (202) 512-1800. The stock number is 729-013-00000-5.
