Web site for up-to-date JCAHO information
Internet provides answers on survey preparation
The Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations launched a Web site in May 1996 to explain its services and products and offer up-to-date information. People who enter the site will find news briefs, information on publications and software products, and guidance on performance measurement, accreditation, and the survey process.
The Joint Commission currently is working on a project to make it possible for people to order publications via the Internet, in addition to giving instructions on the Web site on how to order them by mail or telephone. Also in the works is a plan to post the performance reports on all accredited organizations. This will give people a detailed look at the survey process.
