JAMA provides asthma and migraine sites
The Journal of the American Medical Association (JAMA) announced it will develop condition-specific World Wide Web sites to address the needs of asthma and migraine patients.
The sites will offer physicians and the general public easy access to the latest clinical information, with content review provided by editorial panels made up of leading authorities in the field.
"These new Web sites will adhere to the same editorial standards that have made our HIV/AIDS site the success it is," says George Lundberg, MD, editor of JAMA.
Although no specific start dates have been set, the new asthma and migraine sites will be launched in the first part of 1997. Funding for the sites will be provided through unrestricted educational grants from Zeneca Pharmaceuticals.
