There are Web sites on the Internet that focus on topics of interest to people involved in hospice care. Following is a list of a few sites you might want to access:

• American Health Consultants.

http://www.ahcpub.com

This site is a compilation of information contained in more than 70 newsletters done by AHC, the publishers of Hospice Management Advisor. The site will offer you a direct look at hot news that could affect you, your patients, and your facility.

• Hands of Hospice.

http://dbserver.com/sqlnut/sp/db/forum? client=gator

This site links users to a hospice chat room, information on hospices around the world, employment information, and a question and answer forum where professionals, as well as lay people, pose questions.

• Hospice Home Page.

Dale Larson, PhD, associate professor and director of the graduate Health Psychology Program at Santa Clara (CA) University has assembled a collection of ideas from hospices across the country. • NHO Home Page.

http://www.nho.org

The National Hospice Organization based in Arlington, VA, sponsors this site. Information on the site includes end-of-life issues, conference listings, discussion groups, and links to home pages for hospices across the country.

• Hospice Web.

http://www.teleport.com/~hospice

This site helps people find a hospice in their area, answers frequently asked questions about hospice, and offers access to hospice Web sites across the country. Any hospice can be listed. Simply enter a description of your hospice program. A section called "hospice hotlinks" connects people with such information as a directory of bereavement and support groups across the United States and death, dying, and grief resources.

• OncoLink Psychosocial Support and Personal Experiences.

http://www.oncolink.upenn.edu/ psychosocial

OncoLink targets cancer patients and caregivers with information on spirituality, coping with loss and grief, end-of-life issues, support groups, pain management, and general coping strategies.

The above sites are only a small sampling of those that hospice managers will find beneficial. These sites often have links to other useful Web sites.
