New product helps manage workers’ comp costs
The Guilford Group Inc., of Baltimore has created a new managed care workers’ compensation product for Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Maryland to offer its customers. The product is designed to help large self-insured employers better manage their workers’ compensation costs.
"We encourage employers to take a positive, proactive, caring approach to their employees," notes Marcia Burgdof DeWitt, president and CEO of Guilford. "We help them find quality providers for the employees, so they can get back on the job as soon as possible. This approach actually saves money."
The Guilford Group’s clients include: Equifax, Black & Decker, Dunbar Armored and Vanderbilt University. Dunbar reported a drop of $1 million in its workers’ comp costs in the first six months of its new program. For More information, call: (410) 235-3620.
