Data Dimensions (Bellevue, WA), a provider of IT project management, has launched a healthcare service aimed at assisting healthcare organizations in complying with new federally mandated standards for information exchange. The Healthcare Insurance Portability & Accountability Act (HIPAA) standardizes the use of common formats for many of the electronic transactions, information exchange, and security provisions to protect patient data used within the U.S. healthcare community.

The new service offering from Data Dimensions is focused on the Administrative Simplification Provision, a component of HIPPA. Data Dimensions’ service will assist healthcare organizations in becoming a compliant member of the online healthcare community. The company offers Regulatory Process Management that will help determine an organization’s compliance status and assist in meeting the mandates of HIPAA.
