TriZetto Group offers new service

The TriZetto Group (Newport Beach, CA) has expanded its healthcare IT outsourcing and consulting services with the addition of the Virtual Information Officer (VIO) program for group practices and practice management organizations. The VIO program offers executive management skills to organizations that may not be able to attract, retain or have the need for a full-time CIO. For group practices and practice management organizations, VIO focuses on enterprise and market assessment; clinical, billing and administrative system selection; system installation and project management; data reporting tools; and practice improvement.

William Schultz, CPA, has joined its Supplemental Management Services (SMS) team with the primary assignment of delivering the VIO program to group practices and practice management organizations. "Today’s knowledge requirements of Desktop and Network Infrastructure, Core Business Solutions and Information Access and Reporting are seldom found in one individual," Schultz said. "The VIO program offers access to the required skills throughout the TriZetto organization, at the appropriate time on a cost-predictable basis." Formerly with System One, Schultz has more than 20 years’ experience in healthcare management.
