Washington Watch: Association issues call for annual conference
The Washington, DC-based National Family Planning and Reproductive Health Association’s (NFPRHA) is inviting ideas for presentations and panel discussions for its 30th national conference, scheduled for June 18-21 in Washington, DC.
In issuing the call, the NFPRHA conference committee encourages proposals that introduce new concepts, point out useful strategies, identify lessons learned, or strengthen participants’ existing skills. Ideas for possible focus include policy and advocacy issues such as state and federal policies on reproductive health, international family planning issues, or state and local advocacy efforts; health education issues such as teen pregnancy prevention programs, male involvement programs, or contraceptive counseling for diverse populations; client service issues such as serving immigrant populations, offering emergency contraception, or reviewing new developments in reproductive health technologies; and clinic management topics such as technology and clinic management, cultural sensitivity, and managed care.
