Though a U.S. Supreme Court hearing for the case of Riegel v. Medtronic took only slightly more than an hour in early December, the effects of the High Court's decision will have major, long-lasting impact on the medical device industry —and, potentially also, for litigators who handle, or won't, medical device product liability cases.
