Study points to Medicare risk satisfaction
Medicare HMO members are largely satisfied with their health plans, according to a recent survey of 1,458 consumers by Norwalk, CT-based Yankelovich Partners.
The survey found that 91% of Medicare HMO members were satisfied with their health plans, compared to 87% of commercial HMO members. Some 81% of the members say their plans are easy to use, and 89% believe it is important to know how their plans work, spending an average 77 minutes reviewing plan information. The study was underwritten by PacifiCare Health Systems.
